Find the right waveform: shapers & volume

MicroBrute lets you build countless timbres thanks to its waveform shapers. Additionally, the mixer can easily saturate, so when you raise waveform levels, they interact in unique ways. Explore the synergy between shapers and mixer.

Feedback, twice

Push the Steiner-Parker filter resonance to the edge to make it self-oscillate. Turn up the Brute Factor to inject analog feedback-like saturation that transforms clean tones into raw growls full of character and punch. Both introduce feedback—experiment with how they interact in low-pass, high-pass, and band-pass modes.

Modulate Internally and externally

Use the patch section to route internal signals like LFOs or envelopes, as well as any external CV source, to destinations such as pitch, filter cutoff, or Metalizer. Send or receive pitch and gate signals to and from other analog gear or modular synths.

Destroy external audio

Run other instruments, vocals, or drum machines through MicroBrute’s filter and Brute Factor to add analog character and distortion to any external source. A MicroFreak into a MicroBrute is a dangerous digital/analog synth combo.
