Yamaha has launched its new URX series of USB-C audio interfaces at the NAMM Show, featuring a streamlined design that prioritises portability and simplicity without compromising high-end performance.
With an efficient setup and workflow — and with one model incorporating an HDMI-USB audio/video interface — the URX series is designed for creators stepping up from entry level to the added functionality, connectivity and sound quality required for professional-grade production.
Designed for musicians, producers, online gamers, influencers, streamers, podcasters and more, the URX series is inspired by Yamaha’s True Sound philosophy. It is available in three models: the URX22, with four inputs and two outputs; the URX44, with six inputs and four outputs; and the URX44V, which adds HDMI-USB video capture. All models support 32-bit/192 kHz, feature ultra-low distortion microphone preamps and high-end AD/DA converters.

Alongside the main combo inputs, a 3.5 mm stereo input and TRS outputs, dual Main/Sub USB ports are included, allowing a wide range of audio sources and devices to be connected. The main USB port enables up to 18 tracks of recording/playback with the URX44/URX44V and 16 with the URX22, while the sub USB port enables two tracks of recording/playback.
The URX44V’s HDMI-USB video interface enables the capture or transmission of high-definition video and audio from cameras, gaming consoles and other HDMI output devices, seamlessly bringing visuals into the workflow. This makes it an ideal solution for small-scale film productions, streaming, guest interviews and more.
The URX44 and URX44V also include a microSD card slot for up to 16 tracks of audio recording and two tracks of playback, while all models feature headset in/out ports and two headphone outputs with independent monitoring.

Powerful DSP provides latency-free monitoring and a range of creative, sound-optimising tools. These include auto gain to regulate input levels, clip safe to prevent sudden distortion, and a Total FX suite integrating a ducker, noise gate, EQ and multiband compressor to enhance overall audio quality, along with creative effects such as delay, reverb, amp simulator and voice changer.
A touch-sensitive LCD panel with intuitive Touch and Turn control and four rotary encoders delivers fast, precise operation. A scene recall function allows easy switching between different setups or applications, while products from collaborative partners such as Elgato and OBS Studio can be seamlessly integrated.
Supplied with a suite of Steinberg music production software and backed by Yamaha’s renowned reliability, the new URX series audio interfaces are a compact, portable and powerful solution.
