Gibson is proud to return to NAMM 2025 to showcase a selection of its new 2025 lineup during the NAMM Global Media Day and to introduce a private experiential space called Gibson Speakeasy for its business partners, media, and creators, available by appointment only.

Gibson and NAMM share our mission of improving lives through music and strengthening the musical instrument industry. At NAMM, the musical instrument community connects with industry leaders, retailers, influencers, and artists to learn about new products and trends while supporting professional development, music education, and nonprofit organizations through the arts. This year, Gibson is proud to join the Los Angeles Wildfire Relief program during NAMM to support the community of artists and music creators in Los Angeles, says Beth Heidt, Gibson’s Chief Marketing Officer.

Gibson Custom

The pinnacle of craftsmanship, artistry, and historical accuracy. Gibson Custom represents the height of Gibson’s design, delivering the world’s most sought-after instruments. Handcrafted in the USA, using techniques passed down through generations, Gibson Custom is the jewel of the industry.

Gibson Custom proudly introduces the NAMM Commemorative Edition 1955 Les Paul, celebrating the 70th anniversary of the five custom-colored Gibson Les Pauls displayed at NAMM 1955. Limited to only 70 guitars per color, these guitars accurately recreate 1955 specifications, including Murphy Lab-aged components to simulate decades of use.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025, Gibson’s USA electric guitar factory, located at its headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee, has shaped sound across genres and been played by the most influential guitarists for generations. 

Les Paul Standard 50s Double Trouble

The Les Paul Standard 50s Double Trouble offers the features and performance of regular Les Paul 50s models but with even greater vintage appeal. All the standard features that make Les Paul Standard 50s models so cherished are present here, including a solid mahogany body without weight relief, an AA figured maple top, a mahogany neck with a rounded vintage 50s-style profile, a rosewood fretboard with 22 medium-jumbo frets, and trapezoid inlays. These limited-edition Les Pauls differ from standard Les Paul Standard 50s models in two ways.

First, the Burstbucker 1 and Burstbucker 2 pickups are uncovered, each featuring Double Classic White bobbins handmade in the Gibson Pickup Shop, along with standard Alnico 2 magnets. The second difference lies in the finish: the colors are “Vintage” variations of the standard nitrocellulose lacquer finishes. The standard high-gloss nitrocellulose finishes represent the look of brand-new 50s models, while the Vintage high-gloss nitrocellulose finishes on the Les Paul Standard 50s Double Trouble are slightly faded, mimicking light vintage aging over the years. Burst patterns vary between guitars, as each one is hand-painted. The Les Paul Standard 50s Double Trouble is limited to 500 guitars in each finish: Vintage Cherry Sunburst and Vintage Tobacco Burst.

Les Paul Standard 60s Double Trouble

Similarly, the Les Paul Standard 60s Double Trouble offers all the features and performance of standard Les Paul 60s models but with greater vintage charm. All the standard features that make Les Paul Standard 60s models so loved are here, including a solid mahogany body without weight relief, an AA figured maple top, a Slim Taper mahogany neck, a rosewood fretboard with 22 medium-jumbo frets, and iconic trapezoid inlays. These limited-edition Les Pauls differ from our standard Les Paul Standard 60s models in two ways.

First, the Burstbucker 61R and Burstbucker 61T pickups are uncovered, each featuring Double Classic White bobbins and equipped with Alnico 5 magnets. Warren Haynes Les Paul Standard

Warren Haynes is recognized for his work in rock, blues, and Americana with the Allman Brothers Band, as a founding member of Gov’t Mule, as a session guitarist and collaborator with numerous friends and famous groups, as the leader of The Warren Haynes Band, and as a solo artist. A master of multiple styles and genres, Warren has also shared his expertise with other musicians through multiple educational videos.

Self-proclaimed "Gibson man," Warren has used several Gibson models over the years, including his cherished '61 ES-335, among others. The Warren Haynes Les Paul Standard is another standout model, with features specifically designed to Warren’s preferences, including a mahogany body with a plain maple top finished in a 60s Cherry color, just like his beloved '61 ES-335, a mahogany neck with a thick vintage 50s-style profile like all his favorite Les Pauls, and more. With a traditional look and feel of a 50s Les Paul combined with modern features such as noiseless P-90 DC pickups and a built-in clean boost, the Gibson Warren Haynes Les Paul Standard blends modern and traditional elements, making it an excellent choice for those, like Warren, seeking both a classic appearance and modern functionalities in an exceptional guitar.

Gibson Custom Acoustic – Murphy Lab

1936 Advanced Jumbo

Gibson Custom proudly presents the Gibson 1936 Advanced Jumbo "Heavy Aged" acoustic guitar. At a time of low cultural optimism, Gibson envisioned a new line of advanced instruments, and among those models was the Advanced Jumbo. Due to its limited production between 1936 and 1939, this model largely went unnoticed, despite being an instrument with outstanding sound and performance. Equipped with a thermally aged red spruce top, rosewood back and sides, and premium Waverly tuners, the 1936 Advanced Jumbo recaptures all the tone and prestige that made these instruments so coveted by artists and collectors. It features a Heavy Aging finish executed by the skilled artisans at the Murphy Lab. The Heavy Aged treatment, combined with heavily aged hardware, simulates decades of intensive use, giving these guitars a unique character, special vibe, and the feel of an original Golden Era Gibson piece. The Gibson 1936 Advanced Jumbo arrives with a stunning Vintage Sunburst finish, showing intense wear marks, buckle rash, light arm wear, and neck wear.

1939 SJ-100

New for 2025, the Gibson Custom 1939 SJ-100 is a replica of the rare and distinctive Super Jumbo 100 with a mahogany back, produced for only a few years (approximately 1939–1942). The 1939 SJ-100 Heavy Aged faithfully reproduces the original and exceptionally rare 1939 SJ-100 guitars, which are sought after by vintage Gibson collectors and experts worldwide. It features a thermally aged red spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and a two-piece maple neck with a rounded profile and an ebony fingerboard. Other notable details include a vintage-style firestripe SJ-100 pickguard, the rare vintage “ladder” headstock design, the Gibson script logo in mother-of-pearl on the headstock, and Waverly tuners with ivoroid buttons. Crafted by the expert luthiers and artisans at the Gibson Custom Shop in Bozeman, Montana, the Gibson Custom 1939 SJ-100 has been aged by the Murphy Lab to give it the appearance and feel of a lifelong musical companion.

1942 Banner J-45

The appeal and legend of the Gibson J-45 continue with the new Murphy Lab 1942 Banner J-45. Inspired by the holy grail of vintage acoustic instruments, the luthiers in Montana have meticulously created a J-45 that replicates the most popular and celebrated version in structure and components. The new 1942 Banner J-45 includes a thermally aged red spruce top, hand-sprayed with a historically styled burst, hot glue top bracing for improved tonal response, and a bone nut and saddle. It features a Heavy Aging finish by the Murphy Lab, combined with aged hardware that simulates decades of intensive use, giving it a unique character, a special vibe, and the feel of an original Golden Era Gibson piece. The 1942 Banner J-45 is presented in a stunning Vintage Sunburst finish, with wear marks, buckle rash, light arm wear, and neck wear.

1960 Hummingbird

Introduced in 1960 as Gibson's first square-shoulder acoustic guitar, the Hummingbird arrived at the dawn of a new musical era and was quickly adopted by influential icons of the time. Built with a thermally aged Sitka spruce top, the 1960 Hummingbird Heavy Aged reflects the look and performance of those early icons. It features a mahogany neck, Indian rosewood fingerboard, fixed bone bridge, bone nut, and bone bridge pins, the famous Hummingbird-shaped pickguard, and Gotoh gold tuners with Keystone buttons. It has been masterfully aged by the artisans at the Murphy Lab to give it the look and feel of a lifelong musical companion. The Gibson Custom 1960 Hummingbird comes in a beautiful Heavy Aged Washed Cherry Sunburst finish.

1963 Country Western

First introduced in a square-shoulder configuration in 1962, the Country Western was created as a variation of the popular Gibson Southern Jumbo model. With the body shape of a Hummingbird but featuring a Natural finish and a plain tortoiseshell pickguard, the Country Western offers wonderful tonal quality and a unique look that has been a hit with musicians since its debut to this day. It has been one of the most requested Gibson reissue models since the 1990s. The 1963 Country Western features a thermally aged Sitka spruce top, mahogany back, sides, and neck, and an Indian rosewood fingerboard with 20 standard frets and mother-of-pearl parallelogram inlays, bone bridge, nut, and pins, the classic tortoiseshell pickguard of the Country Western, and nickel Gotoh tuners with white buttons. The 1963 Country Western is presented with a Smoked Natural Heavy Aged finish by the Murphy Lab, giving it the look and feel of a beloved, long-time musical companion.

Gibson Acoustic

The unmistakable acoustic sound of Gibson is built on a series of unique features, from the dovetail neck-to-body joint, arched top, and scalloped X-bracing to the nitrocellulose lacquer. Built in Bozeman, MT, Gibson acoustic guitars are the pinnacle of handcrafted quality and sonic excellence. Each instrument celebrates Gibson's legacy through its precision, beauty, and attention to detail.

Gibson J-45 Special

First introduced in 1942, the Gibson J-45 has remained an iconic acoustic model from Gibson. It earned the nickname "The Workhorse" due to its wide acceptance, practical simplicity, and understated elegance. One of the most recorded acoustic guitars in history, the Gibson J-45 is Gibson’s best-selling acoustic guitar of all time. Carefully handcrafted in Bozeman, Montana, by Gibson’s expert luthiers, the new Gibson J-45 Special offers musicians a USA-made Gibson acoustic guitar at an incredibly attractive price. The J-45 Special has a round-shouldered body built with genuine solid mahogany for the back and sides and a solid Sitka spruce top. The top is reinforced with Gibson’s traditional scalloped X-bracing. This combination of woods provides a warm, balanced tone with excellent dynamic range, ideal for any musical genre. The body has a slightly thinner concert-depth than a J-45 Standard, giving the J-45 Special a tighter bass response that blends perfectly while also making it easier to handle. The utile neck is joined to the body with a dovetail joint and, like all Gibson acoustics, is secured with hot glue. The neck has a comfortable, easy-playing Slim Taper profile, and the rosewood fingerboard has a 12” radius adorned with simple mother-of-pearl dot inlays, along with 20 standard frets. The belly-up rosewood bridge is fitted with a TUSQ saddle, while both the nut and bridge pins are also made of TUSQ. High-quality Grover Rotomatic tuners ensure solid tuning stability. The J-45 Special features a satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish in Satin Vintage Sunburst or Satin Wine Red. It includes an L.R. Baggs Element Bronze under-saddle piezo pickup with active electronics and a soundhole-mounted volume control, allowing for pre-installed studio-quality sound anywhere you play.

Margo Price J-45

The music of award-winning artist Margo Price transcends the boundaries of traditional country, Americana, and classic rock, and her Gibson J-45 acoustic guitar has always been by her side during her rise as one of country music’s leading artists. The Gibson Custom Margo Price J-45 embodies the spirit, vision, and talent that have propelled Margo to stardom and continues Gibson’s tradition of nature-themed signature models. The Margo Price J-45 was inspired by her mid-60s J-45, a guitar she calls “my baby; my go-to guitar”. The Margo Price J-45 features a slightly thinner mahogany body with a red spruce top and hand-scalloped advanced bracing, a mahogany neck with a rounded profile and rosewood fingerboard, and Grover tuners with white buttons. The nut and saddle are made of bone, and the bridge pins are crafted from TUSQ. The Margo Price J-45 also comes equipped with L.R. Baggs electronics, making it ready for both studio and stage right out of its included hardshell case.

Margo also drew inspiration from red-tailed hawks, which are prominently featured on the distinctive double pickguards of her new signature guitar.

Red-tailed hawks have always been symbolic to me. I see them everywhere, and I always have, as they’re common across the United States, but to me, they are otherworldly, always showing up in my times of need with messages of strength and perseverance. Red, as a color, relates to love, passion, and even anger—things we typically associate with the heart—but if you look closely, the tips of their feathers are tinged with white, and the bird itself has a spiritual nature. When I’m on long trips, I look out the window and count them along the road. They pass over me at the most opportune moments, reminding me to find strength in my vulnerability and to open up and connect with those around me. I hope this guitar reminds those who play it of these lessons too, says Margo.

Epiphone

Les Paul Custom

The Epiphone Les Paul Custom has been revamped and is now better than ever. As part of the Inspired by Gibson collection, it pays tribute to the 1950s classic designed by Les Paul himself in 1954 as the "tuxedo" version of his revolutionary solid-body masterpiece. It features an all-mahogany body, a mahogany neck with a refined Modern Medium C neck profile, an ebony fingerboard with mother-of-pearl block inlays and medium jumbo frets, gold hardware including an Epiphone LockTone Tune-o-Matic bridge and LockTone Stop Bar tailpiece, a pair of new Epiphone Probucker Custom humbuckers modeled after Gibson Custom’s Custombucker pickups, a split-diamond Custom headstock inlay, a Graph Tech nut, period-correct wiring, and CTS pots. Les Paul Standard 60s

The long-standing friendship between Epiphone and Mr. Les Paul began in 1940, when Les built one of the world’s first solid-body electric guitars while working nights at the original Epiphone factory in Manhattan. Les’s first solid-body guitar, nicknamed "The Log," would inspire the Les Paul Standard, which many consider the best electric guitar ever made. The Les Paul Standard 60s models from Epiphone’s Inspired by Gibson collection recreate the look, feel, and sound of early 1960s Les Pauls.

They feature a mahogany body with a maple top, and models with translucent finishes include an additional AAA maple veneer visible through the finish for that classic flame-top effect. The mahogany neck has a laurel fingerboard with mother-of-pearl trapezoid inlays, 22 medium-jumbo frets, and a 60s SlimTaper profile for fast, easy playing. The headstock is equipped with Grover Rotomatic tuners for solid, stable tuning, and a Graph Tech nut ensures reliable performance so you spend more time playing and less time tuning.

The Gibson J-180 has been the choice of greats in rock, country, and pop, including legendary artists like the Everly Brothers, Cat Stevens, Dwight Yoakam, and Billie Joe Armstrong, and some of today’s most famous performers. In partnership with Gibson Acoustic in Bozeman, Montana, Epiphone is proud to present a new take on this musician-favorite guitar.

The Epiphone J-180 LS is packed with premium features, including a thermally aged solid spruce top with scalloped X-bracing, solid mahogany back and sides, a one-piece mahogany neck with a 25.5” scale length, C-profile, laurel fingerboard, and mother-of-pearl star inlays, which are iconic to this model. The compensated saddle, bridge pins, and nut are made of bone, and the headstock features the famous Gibson “open book” design with the Epiphone logo and headstock star in mother-of-pearl. Kramer

1983 Baretta Reissue, Made in Japan

New from Kramer in 2025 is the 1983 Baretta Reissue, made in Japan. In 1983, the Kramer Baretta was introduced to the world. Few models can claim to have changed the course of musical history, but that’s exactly what the Baretta did when it was adopted by a new generation of highly innovative hard rock and metal guitarists. The hugely successful Baretta was the perfect platform for their fretboard pyrotechnics, and its success contributed significantly to making Kramer the most popular guitar brand in the world in the mid-1980s.

With its double-cutaway maple body providing excellent sustain and unobstructed access to the fretboard, the powerful simplicity of its single Seymour Duncan ’59 pickup paired with a single volume control, and an Original Floyd Rose tremolo with an R5 locking nut that keeps the tuning stable even under the most demanding whammy bar tricks, it remains the quintessential hard rock and metal guitar, made to be played seriously.
