Around 1,600 exhibitors showcase their instruments and innovations, and more than 120,000 buyers, industry experts, and music enthusiasts from 100 countries and regions are in attendance.

 

Designed to guide attendees toward new opportunities for growth, the renewed fringe event program addresses key topics and highlights emerging trends such as the integration of artificial intelligence (AI), music therapy, and the revival of traditional Chinese music.

 

This extensive program, complementing a strong product showcase, drives industry progress by inspiring creative business strategies and strengthening the music community.

Recognized as a benchmark and trendsetter, the 22nd edition of Music China presents more than 600 activities focused on the new frontiers of music. The program offers a solid platform for professional development and musical exploration, featuring forums, workshops, live shows, and interactive sessions that lay the groundwork for industry transformation.

The comprehensive educational program of Music China provides professionals and musicians with essential information, practical techniques, and new perspectives to stay ahead in a constantly evolving market.

Music China 2 HI

  • - Industry Forum: focused on exploring new pathways, it analyzes the global musical instrument sector and its main trends in manufacturing and market development. A key session is the roundtable Trends, Prospects, and Breakthroughs: Shaping the New Future of the MI Industry, where experts discuss strategies for sustainable growth and successful partnerships.
  • - Global Forum on Music, AI and Health: new to this edition, it explores the use of music and artificial intelligence to enhance physical and mental well-being. In room E1-M16, international experts discuss how music can alleviate pain and anxiety, as well as its applications in cultural tourism and wellness.
  • - Music and Wellness+: located in Hall E3, this new program explores the emotional benefits of music for all ages and its potential in the holistic wellness market.
  • - Music X: the innovation hub in Hall N3 focuses on the latest advances in music technology. Featuring the International MIDI Forum as a main highlight, it includes performances at the X Stage and the International Music Expo (IMX), exploring emerging technologies, AI, Web3, and new copyright frameworks.
  • - How-to sessions: focused on music education and retail opportunities, they provide strategies for dealers and educators, from student recruitment to AI integration in music learning.

 

Additional training activities include the Advanced Piano Tuning Training Seminar, Violin-Making Workshop, Master Classes, Music China Academy, and Renyin Music Lecture Hall.

  • - Reviving Ancient Melodies: A Celebration of China's Musical Roots. This new festival, supported by the Shanghai Mass Art Center, showcases traditional music through exhibitions, concerts, and workshops, featuring instruments such as the Jiangnan Sizhu and the Yingzhou Pipa.
  • - Music Healing Experience Workshop: for the first time, attendees can participate in interactive workshops in Hall E3 (Booth D05), exploring the power of music to regulate emotions through demonstrations, case studies, and games.
  • - Take the Stage at Music China: an open platform where any music lover can perform and share their talent, encouraging creativity and inclusion.
  • - Never-Ending Music – Live Shows: outdoor stages feature performances of rock, pop, and contemporary music, with artists such as Hong Kong singer and producer Jun Kung, the Taiwanese band Shin, and the group J Hall, among others.

Other returning events include activities for senior music lovers, the 15th edition of Shanghai Little Musicians, and the popular drum circles, suitable for participants of all ages.
