Bose S1 Pro+: A fully wireless multichannel audio experience

Bose Pro S1 Musica 3 HI

Bose Professional announces the availability of the new Bose S1 Pro+ wireless PA system. The concept of the all-in-one ultraportable audio system has evolved to deliver enhanced audio performance in a lighter package weighing only 6.5 kilograms, offering innovative features that ensure maximum flexibility for sound reinforcement in musician and DJ performances, public events, conferences, outdoor classes, religious celebrations, or lively social gatherings.

Multi-position design

The all-in-one concept begins with the design of the Bose S1 Pro+. It can be used as a main speaker, floor monitor, or amplifier for music rehearsals. It offers four positioning options: vertical on a flat surface, tilted backward in a vertical orientation, tilted in a horizontal orientation (floor monitor), or mounted on a stand. Its automatic EQ technology detects the orientation and adjusts its performance to maintain the best possible sound.

It is a lightweight yet rugged device that can withstand the hustle and bustle of a solo musician moving from one stage to another. To facilitate transportation, it features a convenient integrated handle on its sturdy aluminum and polypropylene housing.

Fully wireless experience

The Bose S1 Pro+ provides a fully wireless multichannel experience that starts with its efficient rechargeable lithium-ion battery, which delivers up to 11 hours of use on a single charge. It also offers the possibility to wirelessly connect an instrument and a microphone. For this purpose, it includes a pair of wireless receivers ready to pair with the wireless transmitters available as optional accessories.

These RF transmitters, one with a 1/4" connector for musical instruments and another with an XLR connector for microphone/line, have a range of up to 9 meters and a rechargeable battery with a 4-hour duration. At the end of the performance, the transmitters are inserted into a receptacle inside the Bose S1 Pro+ housing, where they recharge their battery and store. When a new event arrives, simply remove them from the receptacle, connect them to the source, pair them, and they're ready to go.

If cables are preferred, the Bose S1 Pro+ features two 1/4" XLR inputs, a 1/4" TRS auxiliary input, a 3.5mm auxiliary input, an XLR line output, and a USB-C input for system updates.

Easy to use

The system integrates a three-channel mixer. Channels 1 and 2 are dedicated to microphones and instruments, and channel 3 can be used for music playback or streaming via Bluetooth or the auxiliary input.

Each channel has a rotary knob and an intuitive OLED screen that provides easy access to independent volume, equalization, reverb, and ToneMatch presets controls. The OLED screens rotate according to the orientation of the device, making it easier to view and control the settings.

Additionally, with the Bose Music app, the system can be remotely controlled from a mobile device, allowing users to manage its settings and access exclusive features such as ToneMatch preset customization, channel mute and reverb, saved scenes, and dual wireless streaming. Dual wireless streaming enables Bluetooth audio playback on two Bose S1 Pro+ systems simultaneously or when combining a Bose S1 Pro+ with another compatible model in dual mono or stereo.

The Bose S1 Pro+ system can also be recognized as a USB-C audio interface for streaming to an online audience or recording the session in a digital audio workstation (DAW).

The S1 Pro+ offers flexibility and great sound, both to ensure high-quality audio in portable applications and to strengthen an existing system. It provides the quality that our users expect with the advantages offered by integrated RF wireless technology and optional wireless accessories, all in a lighter package, commented Morten Jorgensen, Vice President of Global Sales at Bose Professional.

The Bose S1 Pro+ will be available through Bose Professional distributors' channels in July 2023 in Latin America, August 2023 in EMEA countries, and January 2024 in Mexico.
