HEDD recently presented, at Musikmesse 2017, the newest product in its family of midfield and nearfield studio monitors: from the ONE Series, the HEDD TYPE 20, a fully equipped three-way monitoring system in a smooth-surfaced, rather small enclosure. According to the manufacturer, its monitor offers users some of the best monitoring quality in the world.

The HEDD TYPE 20 consists of a solid rubber-coated enclosure incorporating drivers designed by the manufacturer itself, a 7-inch woofer, a 4-inch midrange and a 1-inch HEDD AIR MOTION TRANSFORMER tweeter for accurate reproduction of the high frequencies.
Three Class D ICE power modules drive the speakers in analog mode, so the sound of this ultra-compact monitor is simply wonderful. A pristine, powerful and natural sound, with all the advantages of a dedicated three-way system. The TYPE 20 stands out for its midrange clarity, offering better tonal nuance and greater three-dimensionality when listening. With a frequency range spanning 50 kHz to 32 Hz, the TYPE 20 can handle the most difficult situations, offering analog monitoring and digital expansion at the highest level.
The TYPE 20 incorporates the versatile HEDD Bridge system; in addition to standard analog connections (XLR/RCA), it can be fitted with Audio-over-IP integration cards for AES3/AES EBU and Dante/Ravenna AES67.
HEDD studio monitors are the first speakers in the world to combine analog monitoring with full capability to integrate audio-over-Ethernet protocols. This makes them stand out in IP-based recording and mastering studios, as well as in complex multichannel environments such as Dolby Atmos, Auro 3D, radio and TV broadcasting, and live concerts, where multiple separate speakers must be managed and fed with individual high-resolution audio streams.
