Hendrix's sound and playing style were a result of the way he adapted right-handed guitars for left-handed playing, of how he strung them, and also of the headstock, which ended up in a reversed position, as did the bridge pickup. All of this is faithfully reproduced on this guitar.
With the reversed headstock, the bass strings end up longer than normal, creating a different tension, which results in a different feel as well as making bends and vibrato easier on the treble strings.
It has a trio of American Vintage '65 single-coil pickups, with the bridge pickup reverse-slanted, producing a unique, warm tone with more harmonics and definition. The versatility of a maple neck with a 9.5" radius and a "C" profile with medium jumbo frets is well suited to playing chords, while letting you bend without fear of the string slipping off during your blistering solos.
In tribute to the incomparable Hendrix, the '70s-style headstock bears the guitarist's signature on the back. A unique neck plate shows a silhouette of the musician and the engraved inscription "Authentic Hendrix," which leaves no doubt about who inspired this guitar.
