iRig 2 for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac or Android Devices

The successor to the guitar interface that started the mobile music revolution improves sound quality, adds features and enables cross-platform compatibility.

iRig® 2 is based on the design that made its predecessor popular. It combines its sound capabilities with a modern touch and new features such as versatile input gain control, a ¼" (6.35 mm) amp output jack and Android compatibility. iRig 2 is a versatile tool for practice sessions, live performances, jamming with friends, recording and more.

Powerful performances. The biggest upgrade iRig 2 offers is the new ¼" (6.35 mm) amp output. This adds to its 1/8" (3.17 mm) headphone output, allowing musicians to use iRig 2 with their mobile device and their favorite amp without needing an adapter. This opens up a world of new opportunities when used with AmpliTube®, IK’s guitar and bass multi-effects processor. iRig 2 now lets musicians easily use AmpliTube’s extensive library of virtual pedals, amps and other gear.

The new switch on iRig 2 provides dual operation modes: FX lets musicians send a processed signal to the ¼" (6.35 mm) amp output from apps such as AmpliTube. THRU sends a clean signal, allowing you to use your mobile device as a tuner, recorder or for other functions while using your classic analog rig, which keeps the signal path 100% pure.

Includes a detachable mount that, together with a Velcro strap, allows easy mounting to any mic stand or support.

Its universal 1/8" (3.17 mm) TRRS output connector delivers a true plug-and-play experience on iPhone, iPod touch, Mac and Android. Likewise, the 1/4" (6.35 mm) input works with any guitar, bass or line-level instrument. The device also comes with a gain adjustment to dial in the perfect level.

iRig 2 works equally well plugging in an electric guitar with 3 humbucker pickups to a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 or using a jazz-style guitar or electric piano with an iPhone 6.

It includes a suite of apps and software, including a free version of AmpliTube for iOS, Android and Mac/PC. And while iRig 2 is the ideal companion for AmpliTube, it also works with any other recording, processing, tuning or music app. Its launch price is around €30 plus VAT.
