New Version 5.1 of Studer's Vista 1 Software with Lexicon EffectsThe Studer brand, part of the Harman group, has just presented the version 5.1 update of the software for its Vista 1 console.

What's newsworthy here is not only the software upgrade itself; the best part is that this digital broadcast console includes, in addition to a host of features, Lexicon effects!, another company in the Harman family.

This new functionality can be activated with this simple update, since the hardware that makes it work is already built in as standard.

The Studer model also has a capacity of 96 DSP channels, including 5.1 surround, true broadcast monitoring, red light control and general-purpose inputs and outputs (GPIO).

The Vista 1 console is available, according to preference, in 32- or 22-motorized-fader options, which include the FaderGlow™ and Vistonics™ user interfaces.

Regarding the presentation of this new version, Roger Heiniger, Product Manager at Studer Professional Audio, was quick to share his opinion, explaining: "the new software enables the integrated Lexicon surround effects processors to act as a dual-core processor, with up to 8 mono effects. It also allows these effects to be controlled directly from the Vistonics™ user interface."

Reviewing the main applications for which the Vista 1 has been developed, we note that it is very useful, for example, in broadcast productions, OB vans, theaters, churches, live productions and musicals.

All in all, a very useful, revamped digital console with a great many features and easy operation.
