Wave Music is the name of the record label created exclusively for the new project of holding the first online music talent contest.
The format is similar to the already famous music show "The Voice."
Wave Music was recently created by Diego Sánchez with the aim of promoting musical talent via the Internet. The team working on it is made up of musicians, lyricists, choreographers, lawyers, community managers, IT specialists, designers, advertising professionals and marketing managers.
What does the contest involve?
Anyone interested in building a profile in the music world must upload a video, starting next July 21, to the label's website (www.wavemusic.es) and share it on social media to get as much exposure as possible. Every "like" the video gets will count as a vote.
The first 5 artists/groups with the highest number of votes will move on to the final stage of the casting, where a group of experts will specify, during the first week of October, the requirements of the new video audition that the finalists must produce and submit.
The one who wins the most public support will automatically become the winner and will earn the privilege of recording their first EP, with 8 songs, on the Wave Music label, along with a music video and with guidance and funding from the label's experts.
"We believe in talent and, if someone has it, we back them without reservation. Each of our artists is unique to us because our shared success depends on it," explains Diego Sánchez, founder and president of Wave Music, adding: "We know well the joys, hopes and disappointments people go through in this industry, which is so wonderful and yet so tough. Wave Music is made up of a multidisciplinary team, including many artists with proven success, which is essential for achieving success, because simply coming from the music world isn't enough to make it."
To take part, users will have to register on the website and bear in mind that the contest runs from July 21 to September 20 of this year.
Once the process of reviewing the submissions is complete, at the end of October, Wave Music will announce the name of the winner.
