orange OPC

Following the warm reception and awards received by its personal computer, Orange has unveiled three new models in the OPC series. The goal is to offer users a serious computer that also bundles all the software you need to cover your recording, video editing and music needs. The new OPC family expands the lineup with the OPC Studio, the OPC Professional and the OPC Ultimate, offering different options depending on the type of work and budget. The new OPC line offers more options than before, with cutting-edge performance and carefully crafted quality, whether in personal "home" studios or professional studios.

The OPC models offer a choice of fourth-generation Intel ® Core ™ processors, as well as memory and graphics cards that comfortably meet recording and editing needs. The models feature the following specifications: OPC Studio (Intel i5 processor, 4GB of RAM), OPC Professional (Intel i5 processor, 8 GB of RAM), OPC Ultimate (Intel i7 processor, 16 GB of RAM, graphics card included).

All units come with Windows 8, IK Multimedia AmpliTube 3, PreSonus Studio One (Orange Edition), Acoustica Mixcraft 6, Toontrack EZdrummer Lite and Lick Library software (guitar lessons). In terms of connectivity, they include 5.1 coaxial outputs, 2 TRS ¼ (jack) outputs, 2 TRS 1/4 inputs, 2 TRS ¼ instrument inputs, and two JBL 6.5 5-inch monitors (built-in). All of them support wired keyboards and USB mice.

There is also the option of adding a dedicated graphics card to meet the needs of gaming enthusiasts as well.

"The expanded OPC range offers a complete computing experience, free from the frustrations of buggy or trial software," says Charlie Cooper, OPC Lead Developer. "OPC will now appeal to a wider audience, since these computers are more flexible and faster than ever."

All three models were exhibited at the Orange Amplification booth, 4890, Hall C, at NAMM 2014, along with all the other new and current products.
