Pro-Q2, the Latest from FabFilterFabFilter is a company devoted to sound systems; this time it is in the news for its Pro-Q2 version.

As we know, an equalizer is undoubtedly one of the basic tools for mixing and mastering audio, functions this new Pro-Q2 covers very well.

Its design has been conceived for maximum ease of use, providing aids to reach the desired sound as quickly and effectively as possible, and allowing you, among other things, to customize this EQ plugin to your taste.

Using its interactive EQ display, users can create bands wherever they are needed, as well as select and edit several at once.

That's why the people at FabFilter are sure it covers every need of even the most demanding user: higher linear-phase quality, zero latency and unique modes.

Summing up the features, we find a great many of them, built on the core foundation of this tool: higher quality.

As mentioned, it includes an interface with a large interactive EQ display that allows multiband selection and editing for maximum ease and efficiency; on top of that, you can choose between different interface sizes and the display mode.

It includes up to 24 EQ bands, which can work in several ways: zero latency mode, linear phase mode with adjustable latency, or the natural unique phase mode.

Spectrum Grab is the system that lets you grab and adjust a peak in the real-time spectrum analyzer, making it very easy to make corrections on the spot.

It also has a wide range of filter shapes (Bell, Notch, High/Low Shelf, High/Low Cut, Band Pass, Tilt Shelf) and universal filter support for any type, up to 96 dB.

The intelligent solo mode makes it easy to find problem frequencies and hear the effect of a band, and with the Match EQ function we can automatically match the spectrum of another track via the sidechain input; in addition, each band can operate on stereo signals or on the left or right channels independently for per-channel EQ.

Pro-Q2 includes an Invert option to flip polarity.

As for resource usage, it uses less memory and is twice as efficient as its predecessor, plus it offers GPU-powered graphics acceleration.

Finally, there are gain functions such as the optional interaction feature, Auto Gain and Gain Scale; MIDI Learn; and plugins available in mono or stereo.

Available in VST, VST3, Audio Units, AAX Native and AudioSuite formats (64- and 32-bit), as well as RTAS (32-bit only).
