Shure SM58: The Legend... Now Digital!True Digital Diversity technology for a robust wireless signal and exceptional digital audio clarity. With the recent market introduction of the new SM Digital Wireless series, Shure has paved the way for its most legendary microphone, the SM58, to be available to musicians in digital form as well. The SM58 is the music industry's standard vocal microphone, developed to deliver a clear, warm sound.

Now, combined with the new SM digital wireless systems, this iconic microphone offers an extensive feature set including true Digital Diversity technology, exceptional digital audio clarity, automatic frequency management and multiple recharging solutions.

Operating in the 2.4 GHz frequency band, which requires no license anywhere in the world, Shure's SM digital wireless systems deliver the superior performance of LINKFREQ technology, or Automatic Frequency Management. The receiver scans the RF spectrum, determines the best available frequencies and automatically deploys them to the transmitter and receiver. In the presence of RF interference, both the receiver and transmitter will switch simultaneously to "clean" frequencies, without any interruption to the audio signal.
Setting a new standard in rechargeability, each SM digital wireless transmitter is powered by a Shure lithium-ion battery that provides up to 16 hours of continuous use. In 15 minutes, the battery can be quick-charged to deliver up to 1.5 hours of use. How? Through a wide variety of power sources—including USB, car chargers or the receiver itself. In addition, the receiver features a detailed LCD display showing battery life in hours and minutes.
"Our new SM digital wireless systems offer something a great many musicians have been waiting for: the legendary sound of the SM58 microphone combined with digital technology," says Stephan Scherthan, Senior Product Manager at Shure Europe. "The SM58 has been the first choice for vocal performers around the world for decades. Now, with the digital option, we're also offering a host of innovative features."
