What's New from Mackie: SRM750 and SRM2850

The Mackie family is growing, and with it come the recently introduced SRM750 and SRM2850. With 1600 W of power, the first, an active loudspeaker, and the second, a subwoofer, offer the newest features in their series.

The SRM750 is a high-performance, high-definition solution, hence its full name, "SRM750 High Definition Dual 15," and it also comes in a professional wooden design that is highly durable and simple. With its 1600 W, custom drivers can be combined to deliver volume worthy of big concerts thanks to its two high-power 15" speakers and its 1.4" titanium-dome compression driver. Continuing with the design, the 18-gauge steel grille is textured and finished in black. The improvements are significant, and among them we can highlight: high-definition audio processing with professional sound; acoustic correction capabilities developed with EAW®; a two-way crossover and time alignment control with phase correction; and its speaker mode, engaged with a single button, which allows specific PA, DJ, Fill and Speech applications. It also automatically eliminates feedback with the Feedback Destroyer system and includes dual Wide-Z™ inputs: a two-channel mixer as well as stereo RCA inputs so you can connect an external music source. And if that's not enough, Mackie has developed a system that lets you control everything with a single turn of the gain control: mics, guitars and mixers. As for the subwoofer, the SRM2850 Dual 18", it follows the same professional design approach. They've left no stone unturned, hence its "Built-Like-A-Tank" wooden construction with a reinforced enclosure that delivers minimal distortion even at the highest volume. A front-ported design for maximum bass extension and punch, plus full-range and high-pass stereo XLR inputs and outputs. With its two 18" woofers, who wouldn't shake the walls? In addition, protection is ensured with DSP Smart Protect, and the built-in pole cup makes it easy to mount the entire Mackie range. With a product like this... are you up for trying it?
