EARPRO, the official Soundcraft distributor in Spain and Portugal, announces the arrival of the first Si Expression consoles. New digital consoles for live sound and installation… at surprisingly affordable prices!

At the last NAMM show (USA), Soundcraft (a Harman group company) announced the launch of a new series, the Si Expression, positioned as the most advanced range of digital consoles in the entry-level category.

Available in three configurations, the Si Expression series comes with 16, 24 and 32 channel faders, each with its corresponding built-in mic inputs. The available models are the Si Expression 1, Si Expression 2 and Si Expression 3. All three can mix up to 66 channels, taking advantage of the connection to the new Mini Stagebox 16 and 32 (16x8 and 32x16), available soon, or by connecting inputs via various protocols, including MADI, BluLink, ADAT, Cobranet, Ethersound or AES/EBU and, shortly, DANTE. All Soundcraft and Studer stageboxes are also compatible with the new Expression consoles.

In the purest Soundcraft tradition, the three new mixing consoles feature a BSS 1/3-octave graphic EQ on every bus, dbx noise gates and compressors, Lexicon stereo effects processors and Studer signal processing, not to mention many other features typical of high-end models, such as a color touchscreen, remote control with the ViSi app for iPad and Soundcraft Faderglow technology, taken from the brand's large-format Vi consoles. Faderglow is a patented technology that automatically lights up the faders in different colors according to the function they're performing.

An extremely powerful DSP engine provides 4-band parametric EQ, delays, gates and compressors on every input, a 30-band EQ, compressors and delays on all outputs, as well as 4 Lexicon stereo effects processors. Unlike most consoles in this class, all of them can be used at the same time. In addition, the Soundcraft ViSi Remote iPad app allows the console to be controlled from an iPad.

To optimize the mix even further, the Si Expression consoles allow you to freely assign the function of any fader, whether as a mono or stereo input channel, bus, matrix, etc… And without any layer limitations.

Andy Trot, Vice President and General Manager of Soundcraft and Studer, says that the Si Expression series represents for Harman one of the most important developments in mixers of the last 10 years. "A Soundcraft model at such a spectacular price breaks with our tradition in a way," he commented. "The Si Expression series is based on a new technology that covers the gap between the Si Compact and the Si Performer. All at an attractive price that will appeal to users looking for a professional console at an affordable price. Other companies will keep making cheap mixers. We make professional, high-quality, easy-to-use mixers… at the same price…. And that makes the customer's decision a lot simpler!"

The console offers numerous top-tier features, and a wide range of optional network cards such as, for example, the BSS Blu Link card, which allows simple, automatic connection to the dbx PMC16 Personal Monitoring system.

The Soundcraft Si Expression series is designed for a wide range of applications: bands, concert venues, permanent installations, touring, AV rental companies... as well as houses of worship and classrooms.
