Marshall Amplification is honored to present, together with guitar legend Slash, the launch of the SL-5 Slash Signature 5-watt tube amplifier.

As a follow-up to the incredibly popular AFD100, the SL-5 is a smaller, more practical combo that delivers a unique Slash tone in a compact size. It's the ideal hard rock amplifier for use at home, in the studio or on small stages.

The SL-5 was conceived in close collaboration with Slash throughout the entire design and manufacturing process and features a Class A tube power stage driven by an EL34 tube and a preamp driven by 3 ECC83 tubes.

The silver front panel displays his unmistakable signature and offers the controls for the two footswitchable channels, clean and overdrive, which share the treble, bass, middle and presence EQ, as well as a level control for the digital reverb, also footswitchable.

The footswitch is included with the amplifier, and it's worth noting that the SL-5 offers two types of input (High and Low), like Marshall's old Plexis. The "High" input has a +6dB boost compared to the "Low" input. Including two different types of inputs was a specific request from Slash, who really likes the tonal versatility these inputs produce.

The SL-5 is loaded with the speaker Slash believes is the best in the world for rock sounds, the 12" Celestion Vintage 30. In his own words: "When you add a Vintage 30 to my Les Paul and my Marshall, you get an explosive, perfect mix!"

The SL-5 also has a switch on the rear panel that lowers the power from 5W to just 1W by switching the EL34 from pentode to triode.
