New Firmware 2.1 for the RØDECaster PROVersion 2.1 is a major update that implements full manual control of all processing parameters, more flexible recording and podcast export options, expanded multitrack capabilities, and an interface update for the RØDECaster Pro and the Companion App.

Since the launch of the RØDECaster Pro, RØDE has responded to users' requests for new features with several firmware updates. These include multitrack recording, new professional functions and audio improvements. That evolution continues with 2.1.

A beta version of firmware 2.1 was released in early April, allowing RØDECaster Pro users to try out the new features and provide their feedback and suggestions. Many of them have found their way into the final firmware release.

Key Features of FIRMWARE 2.1

Granular control of processing parameters: Users can now adjust all of the RØDECaster Pro's compressor, noise gate, de-esser, APHEX Aural ExciterTM and Big BottomTM, and high-pass filter parameters. For users who prefer the simplicity of the RØDECaster Pro's original processing controls, the advanced editor can be turned off.

Master Bus Compressor: In addition to the individual channel compressors, the RØDECaster Pro now has a compressor on the master output.

Broadcast-style level metering: Users now have the option of adding precise dBFS markers to the level meters and the recording screen for greater control over volume levels.

Overdubbing via the pads: Audio that has been loaded onto the pads can now be overdubbed endlessly, allowing users to build layered sounds, record VOs over music, create custom ad rolls and more.

Post-fader multitrack recording: When recording in multitrack mode, users now have the option to record post-fader, meaning all processing, effects and level adjustments will be recorded at the RØDECaster Pro's output.
