An interface that brings advanced features to broadcast workflows. Powerful and well received by the community looking to move operations to IP-connected data centers. A unit with specific utilities and server delivery options.
The fact that Anubis is an extremely powerful RAVENNA/AES67 hub was quickly welcomed by major international broadcasters seeking to move their operations to IP-connected regional data centers.
Anubis has been ST2110-compatible since day one, enabling the monitoring of a large number of AES67 audio streams from a very compact and affordable interface. The results, often in combination with MERGING+HAPI, have been extraordinarily successful, but the same question kept coming up: was there any way to make Anubis ST2022-7 compatible?
MERGING+ANUBIS SPS (Seamless Protection Switching) has been developed specifically to meet the demands of broadcast facilities working within an IP infrastructure. Incorporating customer requests to go beyond Anubis's ST2110 capability, SPS includes ST2022-7 Class C and NMOS compatibility.
It provides the most efficient and cost-effective solution for monitoring and managing AoIP streams

ST2022-7 - Seamless Protection Switching
In addition to the fantastic, constantly evolving features of the Anubis interface, the new Anubis SPS version has two network ports for ST2022-7 compliance.

NMOS
Although all MERGING devices can be discovered and interconnected using MERGING ANEMAN Network Manager, ANUBIS SPS (like all other Merging interfaces) can also register with an NMOS server and comply with connection requests from an NMOS network manager such as Nevion's VideoIPath.
ANUBIS+SPS supports:
• NMOS IS-04 (Discovery & Registration)
• NMOS IS-05 (Device Connection Management)
SMPTE ST2110
MERGING remains firmly committed to broadcast standards bodies and has been implementing the new IP protocols in its products. As a regular participant in IP Showcase events, Merging has implemented ST2110 and AES67. Anubis SPS meets the demanding JT-NM requirements and is self-certified.
RAVENNA / AES67 Built-In
Using RAVENNA (AES67-compatible), Anubis can provide flexible connectivity for every input and output over standard networks, using off-the-shelf network equipment.
DC or POE power... or both!
Protect your production not only with SPS (Seamless Protection Switching), but also with power switching! Connect Anubis to both DC and POE power. If one fails, Anubis will switch seamlessly to the other.
Remotely accessible and controllable
With content creators spread all over the world, it is essential to be able to operate devices remotely without wasting time giving instructions to a technician.
Anubis's configuration, presets and features are fully accessible remotely for quick troubleshooting and use.
Switch Mode!
It can be used in switch mode instead of “redundant ST2022-7 mode”, with no need for a network switch in scenarios where a DAW simply needs to be connected to a Horus/Hapi and an Anubis.
Anubis SPS - System Integration
Anubis SPS together with Merging Audio Device opens up other remarkable possibilities. MAD is a multi-ASIO driver (also with WDM support) that has an infrastructure option that supports ST2022-7, ST2110, NMOS and Virtual Machine control. We understand that centralized data centers and server-based facilities are now the new normal for managing the global nature of the broadcast industry.
