Antelope Audio's Goliath HD meets the demands of Pro Tools HD processing. With 64 channels of audio over HDX, USB 3.0 or Thunderbolt, its Accusonic and FPX FX preamps make this Antelope interface the contender for heavyweight champion. Antelope Audio has launched its new interface: the iconic Goliath HD. Capable of becoming the centerpiece of any studio, the interface, long expected to be the best in its class, made its debut at Musikmesse 2017.

The new Goliath HD, with 64 channels of high-quality audio I/O, features powerful upgrades, including the new adaptive Accusonic preamps, continuing the company's string of releases, which recently introduced the Antelope Orion32 HD, on sale since early March of this year. Both units offer connectivity flexibility, pristine conversion and a wealth of very powerful FX hardware, for both Pro Tools HD and DAW-based digital recording systems.

“The Goliath HD is a ‘must-have’ for advanced users and prolific recording studios around the world”

“With the launch of Goliath HD, even the most sophisticated studios can access the market's leading features and innovations that only Antelope Audio interfaces can provide,” says Igor Levin, CEO of Antelope Audio. “Goliath HD, which works seamlessly in Pro Tools environments, is an uncompromising studio tool that improves overall sound quality and greatly expands overall functionality.” “No other interface on the market is able to serve as such a powerful and flexible centerpiece for today's modern recording studio,” he continued.

Out-of-This-World Sound

Beyond its wealth of features, the Goliath HD also sounds different from its competitors on the market. For one thing, it has the lowest total harmonic distortion (THD) available in a multichannel interface with 64 channels of input and output. Thanks to advanced ESS chips and Antelope's legendary 64-bit Acoustically Focused Clocking (AFC) jitter management technology and unique noise-reduction techniques, it also sets a new standard in digital conversion clarity. To further refine the recording experience for Pro Tools HD users, Antelope's proprietary HDX delay compensation ensures that any analog or digital input arrives accurately in Pro Tools HD on the timeline, allowing a refined and complete integration for digital sources working with Pro Tools HD software.

One Interface to Rule Them All

The Goliath's flexible digital connectivity lets you interface with a Mac or PC in an instant via Thunderbolt or USB 3.0. It also has two MADI connections, which are compatible with MADI to Dante Bridge products, allowing access to all audio streams from anywhere within your Dante-enabled facilities. We could even run an HD and a native DAW simultaneously with the Goliath.

The Goliath HD offers 64 channels of I/O. These include 16 of Antelope Audio's new Accusonic mic preamps, with individual volume controls, for multitrack recording with or without additional external gear. The Goliath HD's 32 analog inputs deliver an impressive 124 dB of dynamic range, with 32 analog outputs of up to 129 dB of dynamic range. Combining this with the monitor/mastering outputs raises the dynamic range to a spectacular 132 dB: a new level of detail in your mixes, never before possible in digital recording.

Goliath HD: The Culmination of Decades of Interface Experience

In addition to offering ample analog connectivity through its preamps and DB25 connectors, the Goliath HD also offers several useful special inputs and outputs that eliminate the need for excess outboard gear in the studio: four guitar DI inputs, two transformer-based re-amp outputs, a built-in talkback mic, two headphone outputs and a pair of analog inserts. Goliath HD also has a range of connections for clock distribution: users can sync any gear in their system through the Goliath's AES, MADI, ADAT, S/PDIF and BNC connectors for use as Loop Sync or standard Word Clock. For the ultimate audio experience, Goliath includes an atomic input for Antelope Audio's 10M and 10MX atomic clocks.

Antelope Audio's FX processing gives the Goliath HD powerful sound-shaping capabilities, along with real-time performance. The new unit taps into Antelope's ever-growing library of vintage hardware modeling and modern FX. These new real-time, FPGA-based FX represent enormous cost savings and overwhelming processing power, without requiring any physical rack space. The Goliath HD desktop app also offers full mixing and routing capabilities, allowing total control of input and output routing, as well as submixes and effects processing. Thanks to Antelope's new Session Presets functionality, all of these details, including specific FPGA FX settings and HDX compensation settings, are instantly recallable and shareable. This helps make the Goliath HD the perfect complement to Pro Tools HD-based studios, especially multi-room studios or artists who work in several locations. We can bookmark a particular session and access it at any time or anywhere with a mouse click.

A New Kind of Versatility

Antelope's new Accusonic mic preamps make still greater use of the real-time processing capabilities of Antelope's FPGA hardware, offering precise hardware circuits that complement your choice of microphone. Combined with the powerful FX signal processing already available in the Goliath HD, the Accusonic mic preamps expand the sonic possibilities during the recording process.

The powerful iOS and Android apps let you adjust the mic preamps and output volumes remotely while moving around your studio or elsewhere. The Goliath HD's front panel has also been enhanced with monitor and level indicators and a responsive touchscreen that provides easy access to preferences, while 16 handy slide-and-turn buttons allow mic preamp selection and gain control for the Goliath's built-in preamps.
