Audionamix XTRAX STEMS Now Supports Native Instruments' Stems File Format

Audionamix, a leader in revolutionary audio source separation, unveiled XTRAX STEMS 1.1 at NAMM 2018. We revisited the news at Musikmesse 2018. The latest update to XTRAX STEMS, the world's first fully automatic stem-creation solution, adds compatibility with Native Instruments' revolutionary Stems file format.

This enhancement lets DJs, artists and producers easily bring stem components into Native Instruments' TRAKTOR™ range of DJ software and digital controllers. This latest update, free for XTRAX STEMS users, delivers stability and workflow improvements to streamline the creative process even further for live sets, mashups and remixes.

XTRAX STEMS automatically separates songs into three parts: vocals, drums and remaining musical components. Its simple workflow is optimized so that DJs and other artists can separate songs into stem components to make mixing, sampling and a cappella creations easier. XTRAX STEMS 1.1 makes it simpler than ever to work the results into live sets by adding export support for Native Instruments' Stems file format, an open multichannel audio file that contains a track split into its musical elements.

"Being able to automatically separate my songs with XTRAX STEMS and control the individual elements in TRAKTOR makes reinterpreting them easier for me," says Doc Vaporz. "It lets me add a more original flavor to remixes and mashups."

"The XTRAX STEMS 1.1 update demonstrates our commitment to meeting users' specific needs," says Maciej Zielinski, general manager of Audionamix. "Adding Native Instruments compatibility will open up new creative avenues for our customers. Now, artists who use XTRAX STEMS and TRAKTOR will work more fluidly in their creative process."

To ensure a simple, intuitive workflow, XTRAX STEMS 1.1 lets users import any song, automatically separate it into its three components and then export the separated content as a Stem file. This single Stem file can be shared and used directly with TRAKTOR to independently control and process the vocals, drums and remaining music elements.

XTRAX STEMS users can launch the application and download the 1.1 update for free. Audionamix first presented XTRAX STEMS 1.1 at NAMM 2018, including a product demo by Doc "Vaporz" Kylian, an artist, producer and audio engineer from Los Angeles. Doc Vaporz specializes in audio source separation and showed how to leverage the strengths of XTRAX STEMS 1.1 and Native Instruments' TRAKTOR to produce the perfect mashup.
