Pioneer DJ expands its range of controllers for rekordbox dj with the DDJ-RB and the DDJ-RR. Both have two channels, and the DDJ-RR includes Deck Select so you can switch between the four rekordbox dj decks with a single button. The controllers include buttons with new features for the rekordbox 4.1.1 update that has just been released. These include Sequence Call, which lets you create and save loop sequences that you can then play back without touching the computer.
The DDJ-RB and the DDJ-RR are also the first controllers with a dedicated PC Master Out, so you can play the main output through the computer's internal speakers or a connected desktop speaker while using your headphones at the same time. The two new controllers come with the rekordbox dj Performance option, worth €139.
The entry-level, USB-powered DDJ-RB is everything you need to start using the Performance option of the rekordbox dj software. It is designed to be used like professional gear, with industry-standard controls such as Play/Cue, Jog Wheels and a level meter. Performance Pads can be used to trigger Hot Cues. It includes Beat Jump, Pad FX and Slicer, plus there is a button for the new Sequence Call function. This lightweight, flexible controller features the PC-compatible Master Out and is perfect for use on the road; carry it close to your body with the new DJC-B / WEGO3 + BAG protective bag, available separately.
The DDJ-RR adds all the main features of a professional DJ booth setup to these features. Stay in control with its large Jog Wheels with On Jog illumination and customizable multicolor Performance Pads. Get creative with Slip Mode and Release FX, and press the new Sequence Load button to load your samples onto a deck and scratch with them. Multiple inputs and outputs offer flexible connectivity and the option of using the DDJ-RR with the rekordbox dj software or as a standalone 2-channel mixer, using multiple players or turntables.
The DDJ-RB and DDJ-RR controllers will be available from the end of May at a suggested retail price of €249 and €699 including VAT, respectively. Both controllers come with the Rekordbox DJ Plus Pack at no extra charge (worth €139 including VAT).
The DJC-B / WEGO3 + protective bag, designed for the DDJ-RB, DDJ-SB, DDJ-SB2 and DDJ-WEGO3, will be available from the end of May at a suggested retail price of €65, including VAT.
