The Floating Guitar by Aclam Guitars was the stand selected to display Lennon's guitar because of its design and functionality. This stand, which comes in two versions (wall and base), is a product specially designed to preserve and enhance the value of guitars, transforming these instruments into unique pieces or works of art.

Aclam Guitars offers a wide variety of models for electric guitars (Stratocaster, Les Paul, or SG types) as well as for acoustic, archtop, or classical guitars (official launch at the NAMM Show 2016).

History

John Lennon, together with George Harrison (they actually bought two), bought the guitar in a Liverpool shop and played and recorded legendary songs such as Love Me Do. In 1963 it disappeared, and for more than 50 years there was no trace of it until John McCaw bought it at a store in the United States.

Finally, Julien's Auctions put it up for auction after it was authenticated by Andy Babiuk, an expert in historic instruments and an advisor to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

This guitar, considered one of the most iconic guitars in the history of The Beatles, went up for auction this Saturday with a starting price of $600,000, reaching a final sale price of $2,400,000.

Last week, the guitar could be seen on display with the Floating Guitar stand from Aclam Guitars at Julien's Auctions' headquarters in Beverly Hills.
