Until the recent arrival of Soundcraft's new Si Impact digital mixer, top-quality professional mixing systems had never been such an affordable reality. At an accessible price, this new model offers a remarkable level of power and processing and is the result of the excellence Soundcraft has demonstrated in live sound over more than 40 years of experience.
It is a product that combines the latest digital innovations with the brand's incomparable sound quality. The Si Impact is designed to be as simple as an analog mixer, but it features radical workflow improvements and powerful DSP, factors that make it the perfect tool for live and studio use.
With 40 inputs, the Soundcraft Si Impact offers powerful digital live mixing with ViSi iPad® control and integrated stagebox connectivity for expanding the number of inputs and outputs. In addition to its ideal live sound features, the Si Impact has a 32-in/32-out USB playback and recording interface that provides easy multitrack recording and playback directly from a DAW platform. Purchasing the Si Impact also gets you a free download of Ableton Live 9 Lite through the Soundcraft website.

The fully motorized faders are equipped with Soundcraft's FaderGlow lighting technology and per-channel LCD displays, providing visual information and ease of use.
It has 32 mic/line inputs, 40 DSP input channels (32 mono inputs and 4 stereo channels/returns) and 31 output buses (all with DSP processing and graphic EQ), with 20 aux/subgroup buses and four mono/stereo matrix buses. 8 XLR/jack connectors are available for line and instrument inputs, while a 4-band parametric EQ is available on every channel and bus.
It also offers studio-quality effects and dynamics processing from BSS, Lexicon and Dbx, Soundcraft's "sister" companies, all of which also belong to the Harman group. The Si Impact supports up to 8 VCA masters and 8 mute groups, plus 26 motorized input faders and LR/Mono (fully motorized, with four customizable fader layers).

The console also has a 5-inch color touchscreen for easy access to show setup, channel patching, effects and security settings. And of course, the Si Impact has Soundcraft's legendary British sound! "The Si Impact is the first mixer in its class to combine analog workflow with digital flexibility, and at a more accessible price than ever," says Sean Karpowicz, Soundcraft Product Manager. "And even more importantly, it delivers the best sound quality of any product in its range, comparable to that of much larger and more expensive consoles. And thanks to the USB interface, it works both live and in the studio!"
2015 is proving to be an extremely prolific year for Soundcraft, and the launch of the Si Impact is further proof of that. 40 years of excellence in the world of professional audio mixing bring results and launches like the Si Impact, which, thanks to its affordable price and state-of-the-art features, will bring Soundcraft's legendary sound and its new, improved mixing processes to settings that could previously only dream of them.
