Pioneer has updated one of its most popular 2-channel mixers to create the DJM - 250MK2. The new mixer is the entry point to the DJM series and is packed with professional features such as the Magvel crossfader and the Sound Color FX filter from the DJM - 900NXS2.
With its own built-in sound card, the DJM - 250MK2 delivers high-quality audio and can be connected in any setup. Its clearly placed controls let you scratch and mix instinctively. The layout of the lower half of the DJM - 250MK2 gives you the freedom to perform complex scratch techniques.
The Magvel crossfader, inherited from the DJM - 900NXS2 mixer, is precise, reliable and highly durable (up to approximately 10 million movements). You can also perform smooth mixes on the DJM - 250MK2 using the channel faders. The upper half of the new mixer includes several functions, such as a 3-band isolator, which you can use to completely cut the chosen frequency range. Each channel has its own filter, inherited from the DJM - 900NXS2’s Sound Color FX, which you apply by turning its dedicated knob and then add texture with the independent parameters.
Its warm, high-quality sound comes from both sources, analog and digital, thanks to the DJM - 250MK2’s dithering technology. The built-in sound card lets you connect it to your PC / Mac with a single USB cable and use the rekordbox dj application to mix music files stored on your computer through Pioneer DJ multi-players.
If you like DJing with digital files but prefer the feel of vinyl, you can use rekordbox dj with the included rekordbox dvs plus pack application to control tracks stored on your computer with turntables and the Control Vinyl (available separately).

Magvel crossfader
More efficient channel faders and a 3-band isolator. Mix and scratch with the DJM-250MK2 instinctively and effortlessly. The Magvel crossfader, taken from the DJM-900NXS2, is precise, smooth and durable enough for more than 10 million movements. Precise mixes that flow like a breeze using the channel faders, and 3-band isolators that add precision by filtering the lows, mids and highs. You can also use them to cut each frequency range completely by turning the knob all the way to the left.
Filter with nuanced control
Be more creative in the mix using the Sound Color FX filter, inherited from the famous DJM-900NXS2. Simply turn each channel’s knob to apply the filter, then create unique textures by turning the parameter knob to adjust the resonance and add your own dramatic moment to the set.
Built-in sound card and easy recording
Connect the DJM-250MK2 to your PC / Mac with a single USB cable. The USB connection supports audio input and output, so you can record your mixes to your computer’s hard drive.
rekordbox dj and rekordbox dvs licenses included
The DJM-250MK2 comes with free license keys for our professional DJ applications, rekordbox dj (requires rekordbox version 4.3.0 or higher, available from February 28, 2017) and rekordbox dvs, with a combined value of €248. Use them together to play digital tracks from your PC / Mac using multi-players or turntables and the Control Vinyl (available separately).
