AlphaTheta is heading to the Dutch capital for this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) to host a series of events that just can’t be missed – and you’re invited.

Tips and tech

Drop into AlphaTheta’s TechZone anytime during the dates and times listed in the table below and you can get hands-on with brand-new industry-standard DJ gear. And if you’re eager to level-up your performances, be sure to head to AlphaTheta’s two takeover sessions at The LAB, where pro DJs will share priceless tips and tricks to help you get more from rekordbox and your hardware. Also on the agenda is a co-hosted workshop with Dennis Quin from PIV records, which will be held at Panorama Studio at A’dam Tower, offering a unique chance to gain insight from the highly respected DJ.

Tech treasure hunt

Want to win the ultimate DJ setup? AlphaTheta is giving away 2 x CDJ-3000 players, 1 x DJM-A9 mixer, and 2 x VM-50 active monitor speakers to one winner at ADE. This flagship gear, worth more than €7k, will go to the first person who completes the AlphaTheta treasure hunt by finding all the mini DJ setups hidden around the city. To join the hunt, stop by the AlphaTheta space at Art’otel, Amsterdam during ADE. The fun will begin on October 16, 2024, and the sooner you start, the better your chance of winning. Runner-up prizes including DJ controllers and headphones are up for grabs too.

Parties and performances

The legendary nightlife during ADE is one of the week’s biggest pulls, and AlphaTheta will be involved in several parties, including a pop-up event inside the Armani Exchange store in the famous Dam Square. As technical partner to the fashion brand for ADE, AlphaTheta will make sure the music is on point at the after-party too. Expect the dancefloor to be packed!

Ron Trent: artist talk and showcase

Ron Trent from iconic Amsterdam record label / store Rush Hour Music will discuss his musical journey with AlphaTheta’s Dan Tait and talk about his appreciation for the euphonia professional rotary mixer, which he was an artistic consultant on.

Your chance to DJ at ADE

If you’re ready to share your talent by playing your own DJ set at ADE, you can get on the bill at Taiko Bar in the Conservatorium Hotel during a series of open-deck nights co-hosted with AlphaTheta. Every evening from Thursday 17 October to Saturday 19 October, eight DJs will get half an hour each to wow the crowd with their mixing in the chic, Asian-inspired venue. Thursday will be dedicated to R&B and hip-hop, Friday to disco and funk, and Saturday to house, afro house, and melodic house. You can book your set here.
