Fender instruments have always been remarkably simple and transformable: no other guitar is easier to customize with new components and to upgrade, which makes it truly unique. The new American Deluxe Strat HSS Plus is the next step in the evolution of that great tradition, offering three humbucker-equipped Stratocaster guitars in one, with an innovative design featuring easily interchangeable "cards" that instantly deliver a wide range of different pickup and circuit configurations.
One card comes installed in the guitar and carries the standard Stratocaster HSS pickup wiring. Two additional cards are included and let you "re-wire" the guitar, changing the pickup configuration quickly and easily. Just slide the color-coded cards into the easy-access compartment on the back, and you've modified your Strat in record time. In addition, the American Deluxe Strat Plus HSS has fewer solder joints, so you can modify a circuit in an instant.
Other distinctive features include a maple neck with a comfortable "modern C" profile and satin finish, a rosewood fingerboard with a compound radius (9.5"-14") and 22 medium jumbo frets, an N3 Noiseless ™ Strat single-coil in the neck and middle positions, a Twin Head humbucker at the bridge and a five-position switch. The guitar also has a three-ply mint green pickguard and aged white knobs, a two-point synchronized tremolo bridge with bent steel saddles, the Micro-Tilt ™ neck adjustment mechanism, deluxe staggered locking tuners and nickel/chrome hardware. Accessories include a handy carrying pouch for the two extra cards, a case, guitar strap, cable and polishing cloth. Available in gloss Mystic Black and three Mystic Sunburst colors.

The Fender Fishman ® TriplePlay Stratocaster HSS incorporates the latest in digital technology to give you a whole new playing experience, letting you easily emulate other instruments and create a world of new sounds. It's a phenomenal leap forward in the evolution of the electric guitar.
With the powerful sonic combination of Vintage Noiseless Stratocaster pickups in the neck and middle positions plus a powerful Seymour Duncan ®, Pearly Gates ™ humbucker at the bridge, it's a fine instrument in the conventional way. However, two other ultramodern features launch this Stratocaster into a bright and exciting future. Activate the built-in Fishman TriplePlay system, which wirelessly transmits MIDI data to your computer to create virtually unlimited sounds with a wealth of performance, composition and recording capabilities. The Fishman hexaphonic pickup, the TriplePlay D-pad controller and the MIDI volume control are integrated into the front of the guitar, with the TriplePlay wireless controller built into the back. The controller transmits the signal from the hexaphonic pickup to the included USB transceiver, which plugs into your computer (a handy clip on the back of the headstock holds the transceiver when not in use). To charge the unit, a power supply and the micro-USB cable that connects to the TriplePlay controller are included.
The mini-USB output on the bottom digitally transmits the audio signals from the three Stratocaster pickups to your computer via the included USB cable. The 1/8" jack lets you monitor the process with headphones and has its own volume control on the front of the guitar.
Once the signal reaches the computer, from either the TriplePlay system or the mini-USB output, all the software you need to record, edit and play back sounds comes on an included USB flash drive containing Fishman ® TriplePlay, IK Multimedia SampleTank 2.5 and AmpliTube Custom Shop, and Native Instruments Komplete Elements (additional software, such as Notion Progression and PreSonus Studio One ® Artist, is available as a free download with product registration).

The Deluxe Stratocaster HSS Plus with iOS connectivity lets you expand the sonic possibilities of the world's best electric guitar by connecting it directly to iOS devices such as the iPhone ®, iPad ®, iPod ® or to your computer, with no external device needed, making recording, editing, tracking and much more easy. Along with its other features, you get a very good signal-to-noise ratio and a remarkable dynamic range for a truly thrilling playing experience.
The trick is in the guitar's USB audio interface function. You can always play with a great standard Stratocaster HSS sound, but with the USB output and the 1/8" stereo headphone output on the lower part of the body you step into another world of sonic versatility and creativity. Use the USB mini-B to Lightning ™ cable to connect the guitar directly to your iPhone, iPad or iPod, or use the included USB mini-B to USB Type A cable to connect it directly to your Mac or PC (a special mini-B USB to 30-pin MFi cable for connecting to older iPhone, iPad and iPod models is sold separately).
And as if that weren't enough, it's a gorgeous guitar, with a beautiful flame maple top in gloss Aged Cherry Burst or Tobacco Sunburst. The Fender Select Stratocaster Exotic Maple Quilt and the Stratocaster HSS Exotic Maple Flame certainly live up to their names, with an atypical and highly distinctive wood grain in their flame maple tops. No two instruments are identical, and the grain of the flame figure is further highlighted by the guitar's satin nitro lacquer in Iced Tea Burst (Stratocaster) and Bing Cherry Burst (Stratocaster HSS). These exotic creations, in fact, launch the Fender Select series in 2014, with more style and performance than ever, including a striking inlaid birdseye maple neck and a rosewood fingerboard on the Stratocaster (maple on the HSS), with a compound radius (9.5"-14"). This inlaid fingerboard design gives it an elegant look and an incredibly comfortable, friction-free feel in which both edges are pleasantly rounded, with no side seam between the neck and the fingerboard.
